Our Mission
Every company using AI needs governance. Not the kind that lives inside a vendor’s admin console — the kind that sits independently, inventories what’s actually happening, and produces evidence a regulator would accept.
PanelSec exists to make that level of governance accessible to companies with 50–500 employees. The ones too large to ignore AI risk, too small for six-figure GRC platforms, and too busy to maintain spreadsheets that go stale within a week.
We believe AI governance shouldn’t require an enterprise budget. It should require good architecture.
Our Story
PanelSec was founded in 2025 in Europe after we spent months speaking with compliance leads, CTOs, and IT managers at mid-market companies across Germany, the Netherlands, and Poland. The pattern was always the same: employees adopting AI tools faster than governance can keep up, no complete inventory of what’s in use, and a growing stack of regulatory obligations with no practical tooling to meet them.
The existing market offered two options: enterprise platforms that cost six figures and take quarters to implement, or spreadsheets maintained by someone who has three other jobs. Neither works.
We started building the third option — an independent governance layer that discovers AI tools automatically, classifies risk, enforces policy, and produces audit-ready documentation. EU-native, hosted in Frankfurt, designed for the teams that actually have to make compliance work on a Wednesday afternoon.
